I came across this site in 1998 and kept going back just to see if it was still up. I couldn't really believe it was all true so i had to go see it for myself! It was nice to learn that Ed is a powerful listener and knows his systems very well. Lucky enough for me, I had a chance to work on the earth base station before the foam was applied and had great fun and a really good chat with Ed. The fact is, the bio home is a spacious and comfortable living space. After more than 10 years out there, the high desert environment didn't seem to have an affect on it. Because the foam is the major part of the structure, it also is the bulk of the cost. If you wish to insulate yourself from such environmental extremes like what is found in Nevada, then the cost is comparable in price to a manufactured home, yet is far more durable and can do so much more to soften your footprint!
